Actual Virtual Desktops - является программой-менеджером Виртуальных Рабочих Столов - независимых групп окон, из которых может быть видима только одна. Группируя окна внутри Виртуальных Рабочих Столов по принципу их принадлежности к определённой задаче, вы получаете задачно-ориентированную рабочую среду: для каждой задачи - отдельный Рабочий Стол (количество Рабочих Столов не ограничено).
Если ваш ПК является вашим основным рабочим инструментом, с данной программой вы сможете существенно повысить производительность своей работы, с одной стороны, выполняя несколько задач одновременно, а с другой - фокусируясь только на том, что важно в данный момент, и не загромождая Рабочий Стол и Панель Задач Windows множеством открытых окон.
Вы можете перемещать окна между Рабочими Столами как вручную - через дополнительную кнопку в заголовке окна или с помощью «горячих клавиш», так и автоматически - с помощью системы правил указывая программе, на какой из Рабочих Столов следует поместить определённое окно при его появлении. Между самими Рабочими Столами можно переключаться с помощью «горячих клавиш» «Следующий/Предыдущий», либо назначив каждому Столу произвольную комбинацию клавиш для его активации.
Для быстрой визуальной идентификации на каждый Рабочий Стол можно поставить свои собственные «обои». Actual Virtual Desktops быстро установить и легко использовать: программа интегрирует новые возможности в стандартный интерфейс Windows, позволяя работать с ними в привычной интуитивно понятной манере.

• Now it is possible to specify the default location of configuration files via command line: run "ActualVirtualDesktopsCenter.exe CFL 1|2|3|-", where
- program installation folder
- "Application Data" folder in the All Users user profile
- "Application Data" folder in the current user profile (default)
- remove the value from the Registry
• Sending of collected usage statistics is added
• Check for Updates options are moved into separate panel in the Options page.
• Now it is possible to open the Check for Updates options from the Check for Updates window.
• Now it is possible to restore the lost registration code from the Registration dialog.
• Windows 8/8.1: Running programs in "Windows XP/Vista compatibility" mode made them hung at startup.
• Flash Player running in the Firefox Plugin Container consumed system resources constantly.
• Unloading 1st Clock made Windows Explorer hung.
• Zoom screen sharing utility worked improperly when Actual Virtual Desktops was running.
• Google Chrome crashed when Actual Virtual Desktops tried to display tooltips for its title buttons.
• Windows 7+: Title buttons did not appear in:
- Remote Desktop Client
- Steam client
- Spotify
• Flickering of title buttons in MS PowerPoint 2010 windows is reduced.
• Some hotkeys remained operative even if the Control Center had been stopped.
• Windows 7+: The "Program" target window criterion did not work in console windows.
• Dimensions for some kinds of windows calculated incorrectly in Aero visual theme.
• Automatic update always downloaded the latest available setup file from the server no matter it was already downloaded or not.
